Rove ‘more dangerous’ on the outside
Karl Rove may be leaving his roles as hard-nosed strategist and bookish policy expert in the Bush White House, but that doesn’t mean Democrats can rest easy.
“Karl outside the White House is more dangerous to Democrats than Karl inside the White House,” said Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, who was Al Gore’s campaign manager. Her view: He’ll have lots more free time now to dream up ways to boost President Bush’s standing, “rebrand” the GOP and conquer the 2008 electoral map.
Though Rove says he is not about to vanish from politics, the debate over the legacy of his unique dual role has begun. Some say he personifies the need to limit the power of White House political aides; others say he’s a model future presidents may want to emulate.
Rove is the epitome of intellect applied to evil goals … Rove incited Republicans into more unscrupulous behavior than they could have imagined on their own . . . He will remain the poster boy for political corruption until someone has the guts to indict him.

The administration is engaged in a never-ending struggle over acronyms. Loop Fans may recall that senior officials a couple of years ago wanted to stop talking about a Global War on Terrorism, the GWOT or the WOT, and come up with something that would comport with the realities of the fight against international terrorism.
One leading option was to change the name to GSAVE — Global Struggle Against Violent Extremism.
But, in a White House meeting, President Bush ruled that it was still a war for him, and Rumsfeld went back to GWOT.
The administration is setting out to rename its closest Shiite ally, the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI). They wanted to drop the word “revolution” from its name and to become known as the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC). But SIIC, or “sick,” is not an appealing name for winners. It’s even more unfortunate since its leader, Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, is suffering from lung cancer. One possibility under consideration is calling it the Supreme Council of Iraq — SCI, or “ski.” Some officials refer to it as the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq — ISCI, or “iskey.” We were told that people just seem to be confused about what to call it.
Well, we know that Scrabble is not one of the more popular games behind White House doors. Making up acronyms must be their favorite ‘idle time’ while other administration face Congressional questioning. At least the ones not protected by his highness. No one must be guilty of leaking truth. Truth is bad! Truth aids the enemy! Loose lips may sink the Bush, Cheney, Rove pirate ship. An old WWII acronym seems to apply to this whole gang of thieves, F.U.B.A.R.

I hate to plug a Reich Wing rag, but, here it is. Rumors that BushCo is preparing a “terrorist” incident to enable their plan to put the US under Marshal Law are getting a lot of play right now. Be prepared for Bush to arrange some awful disaster he can blame “on the enemies of American Freedom”. This will be the excuse he will use to postpone or cancel 2008 elections and suspend the Constitution. A national crisis will be the distraction. He is counting on America to be enraged and vulnerable and ready to strike back at whoever is in reach. Bush will then become the righteous dictator of biblical proportions that he was told he would be, by those who control his mind. We will officially become his subjects – as we seem to be right now. All these Reich Wing warnings are seeping through the floorboards now, so they can stand proudly and say “I told you so”.

OpEdNews has a provocative article by by Rob Kall:
There is mounting evidence that Pat Tillman was assassinated to silence his opinions about the Iraq War. The 2300 page report is raising more suspicion that Tillman was murdered. If this atrocity is not investigated NOW, then Tillman will become a mystery just like Kennedy. Motives abound for Kennedy’s assassination, and motives for stopping Tillman are unfolding every day.
The Tillman report also states that “No evidence at all of enemy fire was found at the scene – no one was hit by enemy fire, nor was any government equipment struck.”
Tillman had become so vocal in his ‘Anti-War’ rant, that he was a serious threat to the ‘Bush Mafia’ disinformation machine. His return to the US would have been a media disaster for the administration. The White House puppeteers would have to do something to protect their enterprise. SO! What better way than to turn a threat into an asset. Lets make Tillman a dead hero. Someone in the White House is a marketing genius … who could THAT be?
The Bush Mafia Crime Machine is more transparent every day. Here is the dilemma we face with the mountains of proof:
- Is it more efficient to Impeach Cheney?
- Impeach Bush?
- Cut war funding?
- Indict one Bush / Cheney aide at a time?
- Keep tally of this administration’s crimes as they are revealed?
- Bitch and Moan?
- Update our passports so we can escape to a more rational country?
BossKitty is updating that passport, how about you?

I think there’s a good chance Miers is going to jail.
House Democrats, preparing for a vote today on contempt citations against President Bush’s chief of staff and former counsel, produced a report yesterday that for the first time alleges specific ways that several administration officials may have broken the law during the multiple firings of U.S. attorneys.
The report says that Congress’s seven-month investigation into the firings raises “serious concerns” that senior White House and Justice Department aides involved in the removal of nine U.S. attorneys last year may have obstructed justice and violated federal statutes that protect civil service employees, prohibit political retaliation against government officials and cover presidential records.
The investigation “has uncovered serious evidence of wrongdoing by the department and White House staff,” Conyers says.
The memorandum says the probe has turned up evidence that some of the U.S. attorneys were improperly selected for firing because of their handling of vote fraud allegations, public corruption cases or other cases that could affect close elections. It also says that Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales and senior Justice aides “appear to have made false or misleading statements to Congress, many of which sought to minimize the role of White House personnel.”
In addition, the memorandum asserts repeatedly that the president’s top political adviser, Karl Rove, was the first administration official to broach the idea of firing U.S. attorneys shortly after the 2004 election — an assertion the White House has said is not true.
In one of more than 300 footnotes, the Democrats point to a Jan. 6, 2005, e-mail from an assistant White House counsel that says that Rove “stopped by to ask . . . how we planned to proceed regarding U.S. attorneys, whether we were going to allow them to stay, request resignations from all and accept only some of them, or selectively replace them, etc.”
Last week, White House officials vowed that if the full House holds the two officials in contempt, they would block lawmakers’ ability to bring the charges before a federal judge by preventing any U.S. attorney from pursuing such a case. The administration cited a 1984 Justice Department legal opinion, never adjudicated in the courts, that said that a federal prosecutor cannot be compelled to bring a case seeking to override a president’s executive privilege claim.
In the memorandum, the Democrats provide the first legal justification for countering the White House’s view, saying that the 1984 legal opinion “does not apply here.” For one thing, the Democrats contend, Bush has not invoked the privilege properly because he has not furnished a signed statement or “privilege logs” specifying the documents being withheld. In addition, the memo says, “there is not the slightest indication” the 1984 opinion would apply to a former executive branch official, such as Miers.

You really have to wonder what universe Senator do nothing Cornyn lives in. As Cornyn slips further and further in the Texas polls, he thinks getting Karl Rove to campaign for him is going to improve his standing.
From the Texas Democratic Patry
Cornyn (R-Rove) Gets His Political Payoff
Following the Rove/Republican Script Won’t Fool Texas Voters
(Austin, TX)— This week, John Cornyn proved once again that he represents the political interests of Karl Rove, rather than the best interests of middle-class Texans, in the U.S. Senate. Cornyn, who is suffering from low approval ratings, has enlisted presidential advisor and political ally Karl Rove to appear at a series of fundraisers he is holding this weekend. [Houston Chronicle, 7/11/07] Cornyn has unfailingly promoted the Bush Administration’s failed policies in the Washington.
“From the day he arrived in Washington, John Cornyn has proven to be Karl Rove’s most faithful servant in the U.S. Senate. The White House can always count on Cornyn to toe the Republican Party line and gladly champion their failed policies,” said Texas Democratic Party Chairman Boyd Richie. “By placing politics over the people of Texas, it’s no secret who John Cornyn truly represents in the Senate.”
Cornyn’s long-time association with Rove, who first recruited him to run for office, has benefited his political career – until now. Recent Survey USA polling has shown Cornyn’s approval ratings consistently hovering well below 50% — dangerously low for an incumbent Senator. As a result, Cornyn is trying to downplay his devotion to Rove and the Administration, claiming this week, “I work for the people of Texas. I don’t work for anyone who comes from the beltway of Washington, D.C.” he said. [Dallas Morning News, 7/17/07] Yet Cornyn has aligned himself with the White House on everything from limiting access to quality health care for Texans to restricting educational opportunity for our children to dismissing the politically motivating firings of nine U.S. Attorneys as a “political witch hunt.” [ABC News, This Week, 3/18/07]
“It is hypocritical for Cornyn to dismiss his extreme partisan credentials and then use his friend Karl Rove to raise money the very next weekend. His transparent attempt to distract from his real record of failure with hollow rhetoric is cynically designed to mislead Texas voters,” added Richie. “But Texas Democrats won’t let Cornyn run from his dismal record and will make sure is held accountable to voters in 2008.”

Would you like to see Harriet Miers, Dick Cheney and Karl Rove being led to jail by the Capitol Hill Police and the House’s Sargeant at Arms? Would Friday be good for you?
Two Words: INHERENT CONTEMPT
- Inherent Contempt is a little used, little known tool that the House or Senate can use. It requries only a majority…which we should easily have in the House. Under the inherent contempt power, the individual is brought before the House or Senate by the Sergeant-at-Arms, tried at the bar of the body, and can be IMPRISONED. The purpose of the imprisonment may be punitive or coercive, and can be indefinite. The Inherent Contempt power is recognized by the Supreme Court as Constitutional.
Regular Contempt charges simply won’t work. The U.S. attorney is in Bush’s pocket. Most likely he won’t pursue it.
You need to BOMBARD Pelosi and Conyers and tell them to pursue the new “I” word = Inherent Contempt.
This may be our last and final attempt at justice.
Harriet Miers needs to be first. She refuses to even appear to testify today! This is UN-acceptable. Lets try Inherent Contempt on her first. Lets watch her cry as they Capitol Police haul her ass to jail. Let Cheney and Rove watch knowing they’re next.
CALL CALL CALL:
Nancy Pelosi: 1-202-225-0100
Harry Reid: 1-202-224-3542
John Conyers: 1-202-225-5126

Bush administration wants us to be scared of:
- Other un-named terrorists,
- anyone who is not a radical Christian, anyone who is not with his agenda,
- Inclusive health care
- People who think
This administration wants his population to be white or act white, buy in to the Armageddon concept to justify:
- atrocities against other cultures (anything outside of his world is PAGAN)
- completely destroy other civilizations (because they are PAGAN)
- grab oil resources wherever we can (so his greasy buddies can profit)
- allow genocide to grow exponentially long enough so that if we DO step up to responsibility thousands or millions have already died,
End Time Christian’s wars against PAGANS are equal to Islam’s war against INFIDELS. Euphemisms abound to cloak atrocities against other populations to justify world domination. The Political Islamists have used terror against innocent Americans, OK, so have Political Christians:
- First of all crimes against Americans are results of economic suppression and interference in local politics with extortion and bribery.
- American businesses use underhanded tactics to secure advantageous pricing and cheap labor from disadvantaged and desperate.
- Americans or their Proxy Mercenary Armies have injured, threatened or killed opposition to their agendas throughout history – don’t get me started on the American Indians.
Pagan can be defined broadly:
Wikipedia – the faith traditions outside the Abrahamic monotheistic group of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. This includes the Dharmic religions (such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism), Native American religions and mythologies and Shinto as well as non-Abrahamic ethnic religions in general. More narrow definitions will not include any of the world religions and restrict the term to local or rural currents not organized as civil religions.
Both “Pagan” and “heathen” have historically been used as a pejorative by adherents of monotheistic religions (such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam) to indicate a disbeliever in their religion.
