Pakistani TVs say Musharraf to declare emergency
Washington Post, United States – 4 hours ago
By Zeeshan Haider ISLAMABAD (Reuters) – Private Pakistani television channels reported on Wednesday that President Pervez Musharraf was preparing to declare

All the prophets that have been watching this game unfold knew exactly what Musharraf was planning. Now that the US Presidential elections are raising the volume on rhetoric about terror and what to do about it, Musharraf’s grip on power is slipping. His precarious balancing act is starting to tilt, so, his solution is to declare the emergency in a last effort to stay in power. One of the presidential debaters made it clear that Musharraf is the only one keeping Pakistani nukes out of terrorist hands. Good or bad, there is no one on our side waiting in the wings who can guarantee anyone’s safety from Pakistan’s nuclear armaments

You know if this works for Musharraf,  Bush will try it next …

In outsourced U.S. wars, contractor deaths top 1,000

But, we don’t count the ORPHANS and WIDOWS do we? Heaven and Hell must be outsourcing by now, don’t you think?

This crazy, arrogant, mega-low-maniacal, morons who are trying to grab and squeeze the last drop of oil out of Iraq, are creating multi-national populations of damaged souls and broken bodies.

I see a ‘mushroom cloud’ of hate spreading across the horizon that will cover all Americans whether they agreed with the war or not. No casualty really believes the American public is innocent, because this administration hides behind “the will of the American people” to do anything it wants. The “will of the American people” no longer exists … The more Americans are hated, the more King George claims “we are making PROGRESS”!

Bush, Still The Most Dangerous Friend A Country Can Have

Posted by bosskitty on July 22, 2007

Pakistan hits out at U.S. terrorism stance
By Paul Eckert, Asia Correspondent: Reuters
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Pakistan hit back on Sunday at U.S. critics of its fight against terrorism, insisting its army was best suited to hunt for Osama bin Laden and other al Qaeda militants Washington believes enjoy safe haven in Pakistani tribal areas near Afghanistan.

Appearing on CNN’s “Late Edition,” an angry Foreign Minister Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri criticized talk of U.S. forces attacking al Qaeda on Pakistani territory, warning that any incursion would alienate opinion in the predominantly Muslim U.S. ally against terrorism.

<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>

“What I don’t like is the tone that I am now hearing and that I am now reading in the American media,” said Kasuri.

<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>

Kasuri told CNN talk of an al Qaeda “safe haven” in their country angered the Pakistanis, who have had 700 soldiers killed fighting militants in tribal areas.

“What we need is actionable intelligence” to tackle al Qaeda, he said, and reiterated his government’s view that talk of U.S. strikes inside Pakistan was “irresponsible.”

<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>

Senate Majority leader Harry Reid, a staunch critic of Bush’s war in Iraq, said: “I don’t think we should take anything off the table.” Wherever we find these evil people, we should go get them,” the Nevada Democrat told CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
Kasuri said U.S. raids into Pakistan would be a mistake. “When you talk of going after targets, you will lose the battle for hearts and minds,” he said. “The Pakistan Army can do the job much better,” he said.

<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>

Bush administration officials stress that they support Musharraf, who is struggling with a violent campaign by Islamic militants and a political crisis following Pakistan’s Supreme Court reinstatement of the chief justice after Musharraf sought to remove him.

This is a dangerous development for Musharraf. The Bush administration cannot shake off the bungling of it’s angry promise to “bring Osama and AlQaeda to justice” for the events of September 11, 2001. Bush claimed over and over that “we will hunt them down wherever they are”. Now, Bush is forced to consider dumping his ‘good buddy’ to the radical opposition and try to play catch up with his promises to America.

Bush got this country sidetracked, took his eye off the original ball to invade Iraq by weaving a web of deception and bungled the whole thing. Bush has covered lies with more lies and protected his deceptions with ‘executive privilege’. Bush has wiggled his ‘executive orders’ into a mesh of Constitution busting edicts. The fabric of America is in the hands of both houses of Congress.

Bush’s mantra that AlQaeda will follow us home is the most ignorant assertion anyone could make! American troops are ‘over there’ getting wasted while they could be here protecting their homes and families. Why would AlQaeda choose to attack America when we are LEAST vulnerable with our troops HERE? Logic would show that we are MOST vulnerable NOW when our protectors are deployed in a quagmire far, far away.
Is this country really buying this backwards logic?
Are all the ‘thinkers’ in this country becoming ‘ex-pats’ or buried into prescription ‘feel-good’ drugs? Those of us, who cannot afford the cost of escape, must deal with the situation at hand. Impeach, Indict or Censure – I don’t care, just do something!

Al-Qaeda: Sunni vs Shia Threatens Iran – Spreading Fires

Posted by bosskitty on July 9, 2007

Al-Qaeda threatens war against Iran

Al Jazeera: MONDAY, JULY 09, 2007 7:13 MECCA TIME, 4:13 GMT

The leader of an al-Qaeda umbrella group in Iraq, who was thought to have been killed by US forces, has threatened to wage war against Iran unless it stops supporting Shias in Iraq within two months. Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, head of the Islamic State in Iraq, said his Sunni fighters have been preparing to wage a battle against Shia-dominated Iran.

US forces had earlier claimed to have killed al-Baghdadi.

“We are giving the Persians, and especially the rulers of Iran, a two-month period to end all kinds of support for the Iraqi Shia government and to stop direct and indirect intervention … otherwise a severe war is waiting for you,” al-Baghdadi said in an audio tape released Sunday July 8.

Iraq’s Shia-led government is backed by the US but closely allied to Iran.

“We advise and warn every Sunni businessman inside Iran or in Arab countries especially in the Gulf not to take partnership with any Shia Iranian businessman, this is part of the two-month period,” he said.

Al-Baghdadi said his group was responsible for two suicide truck bomb attacks in May in Iraq’s northern Kurdish region. He said the attacks in Irbil and Makhmur showed the “Islamic jihad” was progressing in the Kurdish areas.

While America frets over media nonsense, the Middle East is devolving further into its own path of destruction that is spreading like a cancer.

Trapped between hating the West and hating each other, the Radical Mullahs are stirring a nest of hornets into a frenzy of destruction.

American politics has not shown any signs of addressing the fallout from our complicity of disruption. Bush & Company took advantage of an existing fragile emotional condition called 9/11 and associated it with the Islamic culture to expand its own corporate lust for oil resources. Pain is no object any more! As much as this country wants to leave the Middle East and lick its wounds, the mess we have created no longer allows us to do that.

Sadly, there is a bigger picture here that requires a lot of attention because there are vulnerable nuclear assets within reach of disenfranchised, passionate, highly motivated zealots.

Has Bush’s Armageddon envy finally succeeded?

Bush & Company is responsible but go free anyway … impeachment is a little anticlimactic at this point.

Our Founding Fathers Would Be In Guantanamo

Posted by bosskitty on July 4, 2007

Op-Ed: Our Founding Fathers were Freedom Fighters …

My ancestors are traced back to the 1600’s, immigrating to this continent on boats from England and Ireland. Several of them fought in the American Revolution – I have documents and letters from one who was injured, became ill and had to return home to recover before returning to his unit to finish the fight. I have the letters and documents his daughter wrote to the fledgling government about his ‘veteran’s’ benefits in the late 1790s. The United States Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787. The final branch of government was not installed until February 2, 1790.

In today’s America, my ancestors would be labeled as a ‘home grown terrorists’ and ‘enemy combatants’. They would end up in Guantanamo indefinitely!

My other ancestors, Presidents Polk and Monroe, are rolling in their graves to witness this country return to Monarchy. They would climb out of their graves in protest to see a Theocracy in bloom.

Where is spirit that drove these people? Where are the descendants of the Minutemen who risked everything for a grand idea? Where are the descendants of the signers of the Declaration, Bill of Rights and Constitution?

Hear ye, hear ye, calling all people who call themselves AMERICANS, duty calls you to step up to the responsibility to carry the banner of freedom handed to you by your Founding Fathers and Mothers. REVOLT! That’s what my ancestors did.

Rally! Speak out! Pressure the people you elected to represent you! This is supposed to be a Representative Government ruled by Law as directed by our Founding Fathers.
