America, Canada, Mexico – Three Nations Under What

spp_200.gif NOTICE

On March 23, 2005, U.S. President George W. Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin inaugurated the Security and Prosperity Partnership for North America (SPP). The SPP endeavors to enhance the competitive position of North American industries in the global marketplace and provide greater economic opportunity for all of our societies, while maintaining high standards of health and safety for our people. The three countries will work together, in consultation with stakeholders, to improve productivity, reduce the costs of trade, and enhance the quality of life for our people.

SPP Myths vs Facts

Security and Prosperity Partnership Of North America (North American Union) while respecting the sovereignty and unique cultural heritage of each nation. The SPP provides a vehicle by which the United States, Canada, and Mexico can identify and resolve unnecessary obstacles to trade and it provides a means to improve our response to emergencies and increase security, thus benefiting and protecting Americans.

Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America Prosperity Agenda

PROSPERITY AGENDA Promoting Growth, Competitiveness and Quality of Life

To enhance the competitive position of North American industries in the global marketplace and to provide greater economic opportunity for all of our societies, while maintaining high standards of health and safety for our people, the United States, Mexico, and Canada will work together, and in consultation with stakeholders, to:

Improve Productivity, Reduce the Costs of Trade, Enhance the Quality of Life

There is much debate and controversy about this agreement. I will share what I learn as I educate myself with the facts. As always, if Bush did this below the media radar, I will remain suspicious. See some of the controversy at SourceWatch. There are more radical views found at Stop The North American Union.  This is the link to CNN stories about the NAU event on YouTube,  very interesting ….

I just don’t see it happening. I see the breakup of the US as a far more likely occurrence.

I can’ see the Canadians wanting this either. There is so much talk about it around the Canadian blog about the August 20 & 21 st meeting.

It would really twist the anti immigration supporters.

  4. The Security and Prosperity Partnership for North America is in fact, the first step toward the North American Union (NAU).

I happen to know for a fact that next month, the final template for the NAU will be delivered to the White House and if approved, the NAU will be launched in 2012.

While many people go ballistic when they see any mention of the NAU, screeching about “conspiracy freaks,” the fact of the matter is, corporate America started agitating for such a scheme after the launch of the European Union in 1998 resulted in not only a more streamlined business model for European companies but, increased market dominance by a 1000%.

It’s going to happen, folks. The only reason it hasn’t been floated before now is, Bush got bogged down in Iraq. This president and Hillary Clinton too, are huge fans of the NAU.

It’s true? I know Ron Paul has been the only politician talking about it and wanting to stop it. I also know the national ID cards go into effect in 2010.

How are they going to get away with it without Congress, the Canadian Parliament and the Mexican Government going along. Or are they?

The power elite in all three countries are for this.

I for one want a truly united world, including an international federal government.

This “SPP” is NOT the way to get to a more unified and peaceful world. It is just a way around those “annoying regulations” the transnational corporations don’t want to be bothered with.

If you want to know what this will bring us, look at the lead painted toys and poisoned food from china. That’s what the SPP will bring us.

We can do this unification, but it must be done to truly bring it’s benefit to all, not just the pig rich. The way to do it right is like the EU. They have an new layer of government over there to check and balance the moneyed interests. In the SPP, they are simply moving government out of the picture to let the corporations decide what is best for us, just like in china…

Clapso, a unified community of cultures on the same continent is a wonderfully idealistic vision. I am so sad that this administration can take a beautiful vision and corrupt it with corporate lust. This SPP is nothing but a thinly veiled greed fest for consumer hostages closer to home. This whole vision must be washed and made clean before it is seriously served up as a prospect.
BossKitty risks disillusionment … so much to fix

I agree, but take heart BossKitty, we are on to their game and so can take part in the debate. Even after the fact, this deal can be changed into a continental union that will be good for all of us and not just the pig rich.
