Not A Democratic Controlled Congress … Yet

Biden: Democrats not really in control

by David Lightman  Chicago Tribune: The Swamp Joe Biden has a message for all those people who voted for Democrats and wanted change: Stop being so demanding.

Recent polls have shown a growing disenchantment with the Democratic-controlled Congress, a view the Delaware Democrat said today was “totally understandable.”

The problem, he told a Christian Science Monitor luncheon today, was that “we were not straightforward” about what Democrats could do.

“We do not have control. We do not have effective control of the U. S. Congress,” he said. There are 49 Democrats, 49 Republicans, and two independents who caucus with the Democrats, to give the party a majority.

At least someone is addressing our discontent.

They can’t override anything because of lack of votes! Ugh!

Wow! You are fast Suzie. I haven’t even pinged this yet. Thought it would be nice to know someone is actually listening.
    (I didn’t really mean fast …)LOL

  3. I have four words for bloviator Biden: Shut. The. Fuck. Up.

His version of government is a lazy man’s idea of how you get legislation passed. In Biden’s Congress, if the votes aren’t there, your lose. Nevermind reaching out to members on the other side of the aisle, and winning them over, or promising them that you will support their legislation if they hold their nose and vote to get your bill passed.

Ask Teddy Kennedy and retired senator Alan Simpson about the number of times they were on opposite sides of the fence but they teamed up and worked together for the good of the American people.

    Biden is a moron. A fool. A piss-poor excuse for a lawmaker.

I think Christopher did a wonderful job on his comment. He left nothing unsaid for the rest of us.
