Bush & US Run By “900 Advisor” Shadow Government!

Network of 900 Advisory Panels Wields Unseen Power

Concerns raised about secrecy, industry influence and political interference

By Jim Morris and Alejandra Fernández Morera

At least 900 committees, boards, commissions, councils and panels give advice to federal agencies and the White House, forming a vast but largely unnoticed network that influences policy throughout the government. Collectively these bodies have some 67,000 members, meet more than 7,000 times a year and spend almost 400 million annually.

Real-Life Impact

Advisory committees influence government policy on health, safety, finance and other issues that touch Americans’ lives.

King George has 900 CZARS to do his job, besides the Executive Cabinet …!

America is run by an advisory committee!  That’s why we no longer have the original Democracy our founding fathers envisioned!

Are we outsourcing Democracy, too?

On the surface these advisory boards, at least the ones in the sample, seem benign, but we know that in this administration these groups are less about providing specific and helpful info and more about dismantling federal programs and furthering the neo agenda.
Very good and informative post, bosskitty.

Mirth, is 900 a good number for advisors? Are all 900 card carrying elephants? With all the help he’s getting, why does he screw up so badly?
