Taking Texas And The Nation Back

Denial A Prerequisite To Becoming Head Of State

Posted by nytexan on May 4, 2007

Ehud Olmert’s another head of state in denial. There are only a few things that I will say about the war on Lebanon, notice I said “on” and not “with” or “against”. I chose “on” because they were flattened without a chance at the hands of Israel and Hezbollah.

Back to Olmert; he rushed into war without the facts and pressure from the military. Not only does he need to resign but he needs to make reparations to Lebanon. He is a man in denial. I think denial is a prerequisite in becoming head of state anywhere.

From Reuters: “But after 100,000 or more protesters packed the main square in Tel Aviv on Thursday evening to demand that he go, Olmert’s aides again insisted he would stay on to fix grave failings identified by an official inquiry that delivered a withering verdict this week on his handling of last year’s Lebanon war.”

For me I never thought bombing and flattening Lebanon was justified by Israel. I also believe that Bush was very wrong in turning his head for weeks while Lebanon was begging for help.

The reality of the world is we don’t live in reality. Our heads of state live in denial and most of the worlds population suffers for it.
