Taking Texas And The Nation Back

John McCain Announces His Run

Posted by nytexan on April 25, 2007

I am so confused. He’s been running for the last few years and going around in that damn bus for months. I really can’t believe that he is serious about running for President; he is so out of touch. He admitted that the war in Iraq is not going well and we made mistakes. But he didn’t mention that he was going to end the war or support bringing the troops home soon.

He stated that veterans need to be treated better. That’s interesting since he has voted against veterans bills:

02/02/2006 Tax Rate Extension Amendment – McCain voted No

11/17/2005 Additional Funding For Veterans Amendment – McCain voted No

10/05/2005 Health Care for Veterans Amendment – McCain voted No

Here’s his full record from Vote Smart . It’s not impressive. But he did vote yes for a pay raise.

His speech in New Hampshire was boring, scripted and not inspiring at all. I didn’t hear one ideas of how he was going to fix or address anything. He just went through a laundry list of public issues and said over and over again “that’s not good enough for me”. I don’t know what the heck that mantra is all about.

From the applause in the audience I think there a many 20 people there. With the level of the GOP intelligence, McCain will probable win the nomination.

    McCain had the BIG announcement.

200 people showed. Okay it was raining. But 200 people? What a frigging joke. McCain is deader than Ronny Raygun.

Lol. There were that many people? Man I’m impressed. He should take South Carolina and Ohio with ease.
