The Saga Of Alberto Gonzales
Posted by nytexan on April 18, 2007
Tomorrow is the continuing saga of Gonzogate. Alberto Gonzales will testify on all he pretends not to have known about the U.S. attorney firings. It’s been said in many articles that Mr. Gonzales has been preparing for tomorrows testimony. Now correct me if I’m wrong, but if you tell the truth, what is there to prepare for? Are there going to be trick questions that he needed to study for? Please it’s called how to cover your ass and get away with the lie. I believe that class is called Bush 101.
Even if the firings were not politically motivated, the way Gonzales and the administration have gone about, their behavior alone provokes suspicion. Why would Kyle Sampson resign and testify without a problem. Did Sampson see the handwriting on the wall faster than Scooter Libby? Monica Goodling invoked the Fifth Amendment, and then she decides to resign; now she has offered to testify if she gets immunity. Does that sound like an innocent event that was handled poorly? I don’t think so.
This administration is so secretive and feels they are above the law. They fully deserve what ever treatment and hard questions Congress puts forth.

It was to be on Tuesday but because of the shootings.

Thank you for your comment. The shootings have seemed to have stopped us all in our tracks. The delay of Mr. Gonzales is well respected.
