Rice Subpoena Approved

Posted by nytexan on April 25, 2007

My week just got better.

The Raw Story:

“We have hit a brick wall with the Secretary of State,” said Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA). “She will not propose a date to testify, she will not agree to testify, and she insists that our Committee be satisfied with partial information that was previously submitted to other committees.”

It’s about time. But what makes me sick is the Republican reaction:

“I begin to feel like we’re in Russia,” said Rep. Christopher Shays (R-CT) . Shays continued with “The same thing will happen to you that happened to us – the American people will say ‘we’re fed up’ and vote you out of office,” the Connecticut Republican argued.

I don’t think so.  I have had my share of republicans to last two life times.  You have to scratch your head and wonder why there are republicans that are still not willing to have hearings, oversight and accountability, and to still defend Bush.  They are the ultimate “company men/woman”

It’s Friday Lets Recap

Posted by nytexan on April 20, 2007

Let’s wrap the week up, shall we:

-We had the very sad event of Virginia Tech;

-Bush praying for the VT community while defending the NRA.

Yes our fearless leader, he is priceless;

-Gonzales in his never ending tailspin towards unemployment

Hechuva Job Gonzo. When Bush has full confidence in your job…well don’t let the door hit you in the ass;

-Bush and his “plucking, chicken” thing at an Ohio Town hall meeting Thursday:

“There are jobs Americans aren’t doing. … If you’ve got a chicken factory, a chicken-plucking factory, or whatever you call them, you know what I’m talking about.”

-Tommy Thompson…..campaign over for you Tommy

Speaking to the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in Washington, D.C., Thompson said, “I’m in the private sector, and for the first time in my life I’m earning money. You know, that’s sort of part of the Jewish tradition, and I do not find anything wrong with that.”;

-John McCain and his rendition of the Beach Boys…bomb, bomb Iran

You’re so irrelevant Johnny;

-Rudy Giuliani slipping in the polls

And who is he slipping to? You guest it Bomber John.

-The Vermont Senate adopts a resolution to impeach Bush and Cheney. Big hugs to Vermont from Texas

Vermont senators voted Friday to call for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, saying their actions have raised “serious questions of constitutionality.”;

-Condoleezza Rice facing a subpoena;

-Paul Wolfowitz and his tailspin to unemployment

Wolfowitz girlfriend Shaha Riza complained that she was very angry and she felt pressured into taking the promotion. Do you think she was angry because she dated Wolfowitz? I mean who would be pissed at a $60k per year raise;

-The U.S. Supreme Court dictating woman’s lives

I want the Christian coalition to start adopting all of the babies they saved.

-Homeland Security crippled by the loss of the Blackberry network

How will they tell us the sky is falling?;

4 bomb blasts in Baghdad killing over 160 people and over 100 wounded

This is the place that Bomber John or my other name for him Bush’s mini me, said was so safe;

Does anyone see a GOP thing going on here? By the way looks like it’s been a good week for McCain he made it three times on the list.

Life Just Keeps Getting Better

Posted by nytexan on April 16, 2007

It seems that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice could face a subpoena. The Raw Story is reporting that Ms. Rice will be subpoenaed to testify if The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform does not receive the documents they requested before their Wednesday meeting. They would like Rice to testify on Bush’s claim that Iraq attempted to procure uranium from Niger and other subjects.

Will the lying and the Texas Two Step ever stop with this administration? Personally, I hope they don’t comply by Wednesday so Rice is subpoenaed. You have to wonder why and how long Rice will participate in Bush lies.
